Quantum Flagship publica spre consultare varianta preliminara a SRIA- Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda in domeniul cuantic.

‘First-step’ SRIA harmonises existing agendas and sets out strategy for new initiatives in EU quantum ecosystem.

The Quantum Flagship is publishing a preliminary Strategic Research and Industry Agenda (SRIA), as an update to the EU’s quantum technology strategy. Created under the supervision of the Flagship’s Strategic Advisory Board (SAB), the document seeks to align existing agendas with the new and forthcoming programmes such as the Chips Act and EuroHPC Joint Undertaking. A more comprehensive strategy update can be expected in the final SRIA, to come in 2023.

The European quantum community is growing rapidly, both in R&D and in industry. This has created a variety of roadmap documents and work programmes, such as the Flagship’s Strategic Research Agenda, QuIC’s Strategic Industry Roadmap, and the strategic plans of the EuroQCI, EuroQCS and Chips Act. Based on these inputs, this preliminary SRIA proposes an implementation path which aligns with the various quantum technology initiatives of the EU.

The preliminary SRIA document, which can be download below, outlines 2030 roadmaps for the four technological pillars – quantum computing, quantum simulation, quantum communication, quantum sensing and metrology – and transversal issues such as workforce development and standardisation. It concludes with specific recommendations for the frameworks of the Chips Act and EuroHPC Joint Undertaking. Additional programmes will be incorporated in the full SRIA, to be published next year.
